Sometimes Polite Language Will Not Suffice

When asked for a newspaper-safe synonym for “chickenshit,” the best I could come up with was “disrespectful.”

    When I think “chickenshit”, I think “petty and offensive”. If you want a substitute phrase, that’s what I’d use. “Mickey-Mouse” isn’t offensive enough.

    (I.m not saying the word is offensive; it describes something that is offensive.)
