Thanks all for the comments. You could take the cop through the whole episode at least three times: once, describing; once, illustrating where the various things happened on a map or diagram; and once, demonstrating for the jury.

A metaphor is like a simile.

Glen, I just put it on the subpoena, in the same way I would include a duces tecum paragraph.

A metaphor is like a simile.

Glen, I just put it on the subpoena, in the same way I would include a duces tecum paragraph.

Very funny post, you made me laugh. Some creative ideas ----
I like the idea of subpoenaing the cop to come to court dressed the way they were at the time of the incident --- when they are acting like what they think ---- a gay man or sometimes a prostitute or other times like a drug buyer or drug dealer or what-ever---- I have not seen any lawyers do this before but it is a creative idea--- can you do this ? --- it sure is worth a try -- do you just put on the subpoena --- come dressed like you were on the date of the arrest on ________, 2007, or do you have to have a special court order?
Yours in the Defense of Fellow Human Beings,
Glen R. Graham, Tulsa, Oklahoma

That is one good jury story.

Thanks too to both you and Scott for continuing this conversation so far. It's been fascinating to listen in.

Great post. Of course you do realize I don't really think it is a game, right? It's just a metaphor. Or is it a simile? Maybe it's like a simile. That's it.

Love the post. As for the traits/flaws issue, the original title was flaws, but then I decided to change it, showing my ambivalence and self-loathing, but not embarrassment.

I love the story about the masturbation demo. How could she have blown a chance to make the cop do that in public. I could spend hours crossing on the details of that alone!
